This is a new one for me. Pleated skirts are big in the autumn/winter collections so I decided to bite the bullet and pick one up that I had my eye on but wouldn’t normally wear. It’s number one on this list, but I’ve included different lengths and styles to suit everyone’s taste.
While we’re all struggling to find something light but appropriate to wear in this humidity, I got to check out what New Look has on offer for us for autumn/winter. After all, the bright side of the summer coming to an end is a new wardrobe! While there were plenty of gorgeous patterned coats, dressy night out dresses and fabulous shoes, there were three trends in particularly that stood out to me that are going to be big this year.
Of course, we don’t need a reason to go shopping, but it’s nice to make ourselves feel better at the cash register with the knowledge that the spending is actually doing us some good. It is called retail therapy for a reason and you know what they say; when the going gets tough, the tough go shopping. Continue reading
The weather is so beautiful lately, it’s time to get out the summer clothes, and one of my go-to outfits for sunshine is a maxi dress. They’re summery, comfortable and work-appropriate. For my top five, I went with nice ones that you can wear from a day in work to evening drinks and they’re all under €60. I stayed away from super dressy occasion dresses and beach maxis for now. In the interest of full disclosure, I already bought the tropical dress from Boohoo! Continue reading
I have a tiny shoe addiction… but you would barely notice it next to my bag obsession. Shoes and bags are among my favourite things to buy, probably because they can be worn with so much, totally change the OOTD and also, no matter how you’re feeling about your size, shoes and bags will still look great. Anyhow, I lost the run of myself slightly recently, and bought a lot of shoes within a few days. By writing this post I can share my super shoe picks with you and assuage some of the guilt in the name of research! Continue reading
Pinafores are back from our childhood and very on trend at the moment and I’m delighted. I think they are so cute, very comfortable and a lot of them have pockets, and we all love a pocket! So I picked my favourite five from ASOS at the moment. ASOS ship for free all over the world and have a handy low-cost Parcel Connect or collect option for returns.
I chose pretty and causal pinnies for this post, so they will all look good with cute flip flops, pretty flats or can be slightly glammed up with ankle boots for an edgier look. Each can be easily styled with little tops worn underneath and chunky jewellery. Enjoy this youthful throwback trend!
I absolutely love denim, so I’m delighted that it’s amongst the top trends once again this season. Denim in all its forms is so flexible and I haven’t met a girl who can’t pull it off, whether they’re better off in light denim, they prefer coloured denim or they’re most comfortable in black skinnies. Whatever your preference, I’m happily celebrating this continuing trend with everything you need to know about wearing denim this season. Continue reading
The fashion elite among you may be rolling your eyes wondering who doesn’t know the Pantone Colour of the Year, but I know I’m not alone when I say I only just learnt what that even means. To be honest, I still think I’m a little rusty when it comes to explaining it, but for those like me, I’m going to give it a shot. Continue reading
The LBD or ‘little black dress’ is a term often used by magazines and while the ‘little’ part is not as essential a feature in the Irish woman’s wardrobe, we are all fans of a flattering black dress. Anyone that knows me personally will know that I’m a fan of black in general!
So, even though it is almost spring, I have picked five black dresses that will see you through the year and various events, all under €60 – I hope you find one you like.
I’ve also included returns, delivery charges and methods. A lot of websites now offer free delivery, although not as many as should. Returning items can be almost hassle-free now, making it far more appealing to buy things you are unsure of online, or like I often do, two sizes of the same garment to see which one fits best.
